Harris Communications FAQs Products - Telephones
Comparison

To help you find an amplified phone that best suits your needs, we suggest you find out what decibel (dB) hearing loss you have. If you are a hearing aid user, you can talk with your audiologist to find out. You may bring this information to your audiologist to get an opinion as to which decibel phone is best suited for your hearing loss. As a general guideline, a phone with 18-28dB is good for mild hearing loss, 30-48dB for moderate hearing loss, and 50-55dB for severe hearing loss.

If you do not wear a hearing aid and are not sure which phone will provide enough amplification, you could start with a telephone that has 40dB amplification, keeping in mind that 40dB is the maximum gain. You may lower the volume if you find that 40dB is too high. All phones listed are hearing aid compatible.
