Loop Telecoil Systems
Loop systems can be used in many different settings. They can be installed permanently in classrooms, auditoriums, theatres or places of worship. Portable loop systems are also available and are great for use with the TV, in the car, or one-on-one conversations.

An induction loop system consists of a thin wire that is placed around the listening area and connects into a special amplifier. This amplifier has a microphone attached to it. Speech signals from the microphone are amplified and circulated through the loop wire making an electromagnetic field around the looped area. When the listener switches their hearing aid to the “T” or Telecoil (t-coil) setting, it picks up the electromagnetic signal and allows them to hear the reproduction of the original speech signal through the hearing aid. If you do not have a hearing aid or one equipped with a Telecoil switch, you can use a Telecoil receiver with headphones or earphones to listen.
