Keys to Successfully Living with Your Hearing Loss

  1. A gift with a purpose Review by Hearing_Better
    Overall Satisfaction

My brother gave this to me. It is chock-full of advice and suggestions from a woman with hearing loss who has studied a lot about it, too. There is a lot of research about hearing aid policies and insurance that gave me a lot of background about hearing aid coverage. The author has a cochlear implant and a hearing aid, and has been to college and working with a hearing loss successfully. She also has a hearing dog, and has had experience fighting discrimination because of her disability. The style of this book is informative but not scholarly, even though it comes from an academic publisher. There are funny stories from the author;s life about having a hearing loss at work that I could relate to, also. Definitely a useful guide and reference for just about everyone!
