Written by a man who is hard of hearing, the book is a collection of jokes, humorous stories and cartoons pertaining to hearing loss. The author's mission is to help alleviate the tension and frustration of hearing loss through humor and to encourage those with a hearing loss to seek professional help. Harris Communications, www.harriscomm.com, is a mail-order catalog company that began in 1982. The company's president, Dr. Robert I. Harris, is a deaf man who started his business selling text telephones to the deaf.
