Disabled Access Credit (DAC) for Small Businesses
Are you a small business with less than 30 full-time employees or gross receipts less than $1 million/year looking to be ADA compliant? You may qualify for the DAC (Disabled Access Credit), a tax incentive to encourage small businesses to comply with the ADA. The DAC is available to an "eligible small business" with 30 or fewer full-time employees, or gross receipts less than $1 million/year, and is equal to 50% of the "eligible access expenditures" exceeding $250 but do not exceed $10,250, for a maximum credit of $5,000 a year.
