A sensitivity knob lets you adjust how sensitive the BC400 transmitter should be to detect your baby's cries, depending on where you place the unit. The BC400 does not have any cords - simply plug it into a wall outlet - so you can place it near your baby without them grabbing on wires.

Overall Satisfaction Love It. It gets me up when my one month old cries. At first I did not think it will work at first as I was trying everything and about to give up on it. I looked on my clock and it had a receiver wrote on it and I turn it off not knowing that what that was for as I brought the clock about 3 or 4 years ago but now I know what the receiver is for. The sensor will go off if it is set too high so I set it low but not too low. It's a life saver for me so my husband doesn't have to wake me every time our child cries. (Posted on 7/31/2017)

Overall Satisfaction i had this product for 8 years and always was working until we moved in a townhouse and had another baby, it didnt work anymore, worked at random of times. Got new same one, still not working. what possibly has gone wrong here? townhouse? electricity circuits? anybody has idea?

Overall Satisfaction The light/vibrator will go off at random times and the baby wasn't even crying. It kept waking me up for no reason. It does not do its job at all!

Overall Satisfaction I highly recommend this product. Works great at alerting me to my son's cries in the middle of the night. I used it with the vibrating alarm clock and plugged in my lamp to the back of that so I receive both the strobing of the lamp and vibration effect to wake me up. Only downside is once in a blue moon it would stop working or would vibrate and not be able to shut off. This happened twice in the year that I had it, but after I unplugged everything and waited 20 minutes and plugged everything back in it worked fine again after that. I think it just needs to be reset every now and then. Overall, great product for the price! (Posted on 3/29/2015)

Overall Satisfaction I got this along with SA201 remote receiver for my daughter and her boyfriend when their first was born and now they can actually both sleep at the same time as the first couple of days at home they were taking turns staying awake to see if the baby needed them. Overall Satisfaction I have had mine for over 12 years and it still works! My baby of course is grown, but I keep it plugged in to alert me when the phone rings in the middle of the night . It will also alert me if the smoke detectors is going off or has low battery.
